Dear Members,

It is with great pride and joy that I announce the Strategic Partnership with L.O.V.E. Is The Answer Movement and the National Association of African Americans in Human Resources (NAAAHR).

The creators of the L.O.V.E. Is The Answer Movement (which includes the film “WALKING WHILE BLACK: L.O.V.E. Is The Answer) seeks to form alliances with organizations that support the principles of L.O.V.E.

Those principles are as follows: LEARN about the community you serve; OPEN your heart to the needs of the people in it; VOLUNTEER yourself to be part of the solution in their lives; and EMPOWER others to do the same.

The National Association of African Americans support these principles and fully endorse the L.O.V.E. Is The Answer Movement in their pursuit of these principles.

As Chairman of the National Board and Co-National Founder of the organization, I stand with the CEO & Founder of the L.O.V.E. Is The Answer Movement, A.J. Ali in his mission to improve the police-community relations and promote racial reconciliation throughout the world. Our organization pledges its full support and cooperation and will share this news of this partnership with our chapters and our 15,000 membership base.As human resources professionals, this gives us another platform to empower our members to engage our most precious resource, human resources.  This must be one of our commitments to our community.

I also believe this partnership will create a model for other professional organizations to join and engage their members to get involved.  This strategic partnership begins the building of a long term relationship with NAAAHR and L.O.V.E. Is The Answer Movement in making the communities we serve better.

I strongly support and encourage all of our members to see the film “WALKING WHILE BLACK” and inform your circles of influence to contact A.J. Ali to license the showing.

This movement and film strongly aligns with my principles, SERVICE IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN SUCCESS, PEOPLE ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN POSSESSIONS AND PRINCIPLE IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN POWER!”

Regards,

Nathaniel Alston, Jr.

Chairman of The National Board

Co-National Founder

Former National President

Lifetime Member Emeritus

The L.O.V.E. Is The Answer Movement, was birthed by the documentary film "WALKING WHILE BLACK: L.O.V.E. Is The Answer,” a socially-conscious film bridging the historically painful gap between law enforcement and the Black community.  L.O.V.E. is an acronym for -- LEARN about the community you serve, OPEN your heart to the people in it, VOLUNTEER yourself to be part of the solution in their lives, and EMPOWER others to do the same.  More than 10,000 people viewed the film at screenings in more than a dozen states in 2017.  The Filmmakers have plans to show the film to more than 250,000 people in all 50 states in 2018 and have introduced workshops and conferences to engage individuals and communities on a deeper level.
