Roderick Nelson is a visionary talent leader with a passion for people. With nearly a decade’s experience in career management as well as nearly a decade’s experience in talent management, he is deeply experienced at both coaching people through the process of finding meaningful work and the process of helping large organizations acquire top talent. 


Roderick has a truly diverse background having worked within publicly-traded companies, the public sector, and the non-profit world. Roderick oversaw full-cycle recruitment at Fortune Global 500 companies including Allstate and BP, helping them launch new campus recruitment initiatives and support community-based programs such as the Posse Foundation.


Roderick is respected by his peers as a charismatic, personable and detail-oriented professional who has consistently led by example throughout his career. Having planned and executed career fairs in downtown Chicago that drew 80+ employers and hundreds of job seekers, Roderick has demonstrated his ability to simultaneously be a strong networker and connector of people while also managing operations and logistics for large-scale events. 


Roderick holds the President position for African-Americans in Human Resources (NAAAHR), prior he served in various leadership positions on the executive board including Vice President of Membership and Treasurer. 


Roderick holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, College of Business and the SHRM-CP and Certified Diversity Recruiter’s certifications.
