Dr. Ronald W. Whitaker, II

Dr. Ronald W. Whitaker, II is an Assistant Professor of Education at Cabrini University. At Cabrini, he also serves as the Director of District and School Relations, and Co-Director for the Center for Urban Education, Equity, and Improvement (CUEEI). Further, Dr. Whitaker also serves on the board for the National Association of African Americans (NAAAHR). Educationally, Dr. Whitaker completed his Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership at Duquesne University, where he was also inducted into Phi Kappa Phi. He also earned a Master’s Degree in Education (M.S. Ed) from the University of Pennsylvania, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Eastern University, and an undergraduate degree in Leadership from Geneva College where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. Dr. Whitaker research interest focuses on the racialized experiences of African Americans in various milieus through a social psychology and critical lens.


His latest publication titled: All Eyes on Me; will be released by Michigan State University Press in the fall of 2018. He presents his research at both national and international scholarly conferences. Additionally, he has also provided countless leadership, professional branding, and diversity, equity, and inclusion trainings for organizations.


Dr. Whitaker is revered amongst colleagues for engaging in “tough conversations” in a respectful manner.
